What a whirlwind!

Whew—the last few months have been a whirlwind, hence why we are just now getting this announcement published for you! We have some REALLY BIG NEWS! We are now under new (but familiar) management! Kayla is now the owner/manager with with the help of her business partners! Her husband Skylar, as well as Doug and Josi (Skylar's dad and his wife!). We are so excited for the next chapter for Monarch Tea House, let's start out getting a little more familiar with why Kayla is now the owner! 

I was hired at Monarch three years ago, after spending so much time there that Michelle—the former owner—offered me a job. I have absolutely loved working at Monarch since then and when Michelle approached me about possibly buying the shop, I did all I could to to make it happen. Many of the great things our customers love about Monarch are staying the same: Events, great tea, tea-ware, specials, loyalty program, etc. Some new and exciting things are happening too:

  • Food: Soup, oatmeal, bakery items
  • Expanded Seating
  • New tea-ware
  • New morning hours
  • Additional coffee options, including espresso


We are also working on improving the website, a fill-your-own-container tea service, and additional events. As I said, it’s been a whirlwind, but I am having so much fun and hope you’ll stop by (online or in person) and see what’s happening. Join us the month of November for NaNoWriMo! We are hosting weekly Write Nites, Happy/Social Hours, Goal setting and accountability and we will have prizes!
